Richard Dolan presents a massive compendium on the modern history of the UFO phenomenon from the perspective of national security forces. Read how national intelligence agencies the world over for decades have wrestled with the military and public to take control of the UFO subject, usually supressing valuable UFO information by any means necessary. Dolan explores the history of civilian anti-secrecy movements which flourished in the 1950s and 60s and their efforts to expose the goverment's truth embargo on the subject of UFOs.
Dolan has packed in loads of references to police witness cases, plus other Australian UFO events, as well as the involvement of American Intelligence agents on Australian turf. This book also includes startling UFO incidents in central Australia near the top-secret US research facility Pine Gap. Dolan also makes note of the UFO-landing incident at Eton Ridge, near Mount Nebo in Queensland, in 1965, and its investigaton by the "authorities" who "interrogated the men at length", as well as a mention of the reknown disapearance of Frederick Valentich over Bass Straight.
Dolan's work represents a phenomenal contribution to the UFO story. Monumental in its efforts, it's impeccably researched and written, referencing hundreds of sources. Arguably one of the greatest works on the modern history of UFOs to-date and the story of the battle to control the subject.
